Although I believe the community reading my livejournal has shrunk greatly, It's about time to update this space :D
Yeah so you would have read my rants about my driving instructors in my previous post. Congratulations! Cos there I will no longer be ranting about my instructors because I have passed my DRIVING TEST :D
Okay let's start with my final driving lesson before my TP, Julius was in a very pissy mood and once I made a mistake, he scolded me like never before. Like he was throwing his hands up in the air and screaming,''WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" or "YOU ARE NOT LISTENING TO ME!". Ya so obviously all the silly mistakes compounded cos I was very unsettled and frustrated throughout. It was really a bad way to end a driving lesson on the eve of your driving test.
I spent the rest of my day in an extremely foul mood and I was totally sian-ed out.
The anxiety only kicked in while I was about to get ready for bed. But at the same time I was trying to comfort myself, "aiya, fail then take again lor''. Okay, that was able to tide me across the sufficient rest I need.
So arrived in CDC the following morning, everything was still feeling normal and all, reported at the warm-up room and waited for my warm-up instructor to call me. The warm-up wasn't very encouraging cos my parking was not up to standard so that got me worrying. I don't know what's wrong with me, it is as if my mind is telling me that I am gonna pass my TP, I went to take a passport photo at the photobooth. LOL it's hiliarious actually, after I came out of the photobooth, I was like,"wah, like as if I already passed my TP". OH WELL! LOL.
The driving test was supposed to start at 915am so I headed to the WAITING ROOM at 9am (different from warm-up room btw) to wait for the tester to call me. I must say this is the part where my nervousness shot to an all time high. At 9am, some of the testers were already coming in to call out the candidates, very scheming lor, cos when they head out to the roads after the circuit, it is very likely they will still be victims of the bus lane hours. I listened to some music to calm myself down but every time a tester comes in, my heart will start racing. HAHAHA so counter effective. I was also looking out for all the malay testers, cos of all the stories that they were all super nice and lenient. My mom had a malay tester and I was so convinced that malay testers are very lenient HAHAHAHA. Sadly, Ubi has only TWO malay testers and the both of them were not my tester.
So 915am came and passed by a little when this old man with a kind face (NO I AM NOT BEING BIASED HAHAHA) came in and called for me. I WAS LIKE," AHHHHHH MY TURN MY TURN" and I felt my tummy doing a belly flip. While walking to the car, he was telling me to be calm and confident (basically he said that throughout the entire test, he is so awesome). In the car, he told me to focus on the circuit and rely on him while I am outside school. He also told me to move out only after I have settled down. SUCH A SAINT PLEASE!!! The most important thing is that he was not holding the paper where he was supposed to award the demerit points accordingly.
Okay, the circuit stuff. I think I did directional change first and coincidentally the tester picked the number as my warm up instructor. All good, I remembered to do safety checks. Proceeded to the slope, all good. Then the reaction and responsive section, it is basically the same as directional change except that you have to go up the ramp and be quick enough to step on the brakes before the car hits the pole. All good cos he picked the same number again, except that I forgot to perform safety check while reversing. Parallel parking, SWEE SWEE!!! Then crank course and S course, all good, except that I didn't do it at low speed, I nearly strike the curb at crank course! Last one was the very very very EVIL vertical parking which I can't do it properly for nuts. THANKFULLY I WENT IN NICELYYYY!!!!! I was very very very relieved after that!!!! Then went for a drive outside, awesome traffic conditions. PEOPLE ACTUALLY GAVE WAY TO ME WHILE I WAS CHANGING LANES. The tester said I could change lanes well too :) WHOOO
All in all, 4 demerit points. For not checking my mirrors/blindspots properly. He didn't penalise me for the 4 points for forgetting to perform safety check at the reaction and response section. WHOO otherwise I think I would have gotten 8points. Anyhoo, turned out that the passport photos I took were eventually used. HAHAHA.
Still waiting for an opportunity to drive my dad's car.

RIO WAS AWESOME!!! I LOVE IT!!! The ending was a bit abrupt but I am okay with it! The birds are all so chio. Btw, my mom told me that there is an Angry Birds- Rio version app! HAHAHA I didn't even know that, my mom is more hip than me when comes to iPhone apps now :P
Driving today was... okay. I got Nur today so I was prepared to take on his curt comments (as compared to naggy Julius) and his constant exasperated tone. I didn't get a chop today cos my performance wasn't perfect but I felt that I was more confident in doing the lane change today, so I'll make sure I'll nail it the next lesson.Thankfully my next lesson will be with Nur again so there is some consistency for me to improve my 'inconsistent' performance. HEH HEH. I am sorry if I sounded very affected by my instructors in the previous post... Well, I am but after ranting it out many many many times and getting so much encouragement by all my friends, I am much better :) I am even more determined to show them that I can drive safely and manoveure the car proficiently!
When I was complaining to LYX during dinner after the movie about my driving, she reminded me of the Gold 90.5 FM advertisement about 'Hearing only the Good Stuff'. There is one version where there was a lady taking driving lessons HAHAHA!
Gonna watch 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' tomorrow with valbearbear! STOKED TTM! I can't wait to see the hotties in the show, but so sian it's gonna be dubbed over in Chinese. Saybons dinner after that WHOOHOOO *punches air*
ALRIGHTY, I shall stop here now cos my show is almost done loading and I am gonna snooze and TRY to wake up early to go for a run. Provided the weather isn't too hot HEH HEH. I wanna go cycling though :(
